We have 2 dogs and one cat insured with petplan for many years. They have always been there when needed. We don't have to worry about whether we can afford a treatment recommended by our vet, because we know petplan will pay the claim.
With a huge range of cat, dog and horse insurance policies on the market, it can be hard to pick the policy and provider that best fits your needs and budget.
We ask pet and horse owners who are customers of the UK’s leading insurance providers to share their experiences and help other owners like you, choose the best pet or horse insurance policy type and provider.
Please read some of the thousands of pet insurance reviews from other owners and leave your own review if you are a customer, too. All the inside information on the service and support the insurance companies provide, and how easy or complex they make it to submit and get a claim paid, helps others make an informed choice. Your views can also encourage our insurance companies to offer the best possible service they can.
Once you’ve narrowed down your options click through our site links on your chosen insurer's page to get a quote and help us to help pets and equines in need through our charity donations.
We need your review!
We want to give pet and horse owners lots of real customer reviews to read when deciding on the right policy for them and their animals so we need new reviews from you!

Watch out these guys make massive hikes in premiums, ours has gone up by 111% in 2 years to £ 55 per month. We've made 2 relatively small claims in 7 years so needless to say we are voting with our feet. Cheerio MoreThan.
I claimed for my dog last year as he broke his leg. Claim took about 2 weeks to resolve, but I think it was because of my vet being slow and not Animal Friends. I have just received my new premium and it has only gone up a small amount, so very happy.
3 years with company 1st year cheap 2nd year jumped by over £100 and over £200 jump. That is over £300 jump in 2 years with no claims.
Absolutely discusted with them.
Have made numerous mistakes with claims, underpaid on one claim, have lost forms and then lost duplicate, lost receipts, took out my excess twice for a continuous claim, sent a claim form back to me claiming it was filled out incorrectly when it wasn't...
We have been paid over £1000 the last year for claims for our collie. Not sure if we would be able to afford our sweet dog if it wasn't for this insurance.
I've just received my renewal for my 7 year old lurcher and it has risen from an already ridiculous £45 to an awe inspiringly crazy £73.73.

Have had dogs for all my adult married life - 30 years and always had them insured. Thought when we got our last lad we would try Sainsburys insurance. What a mistake. Well actually not Sainsburys, but the give the work to bdml or Allianz. God, or any...
I recently made a claim with animal friends and the process could not have been easier! People question the small print, but every insurer for any product has small print. When you buy a policy you have 14 days to cancel and you can read the small print...
