Coverage

Lifetime cover pet insurance policy options offered for cats and dogs. Lifetime Pet Cover offer 5 levels of cover options ranging from £2,000 per year up to £10,000 total vet fee cover in each policy year. Each new accident and condition will continue to be covered year on year if cover is renewed each year with no break in cover. Cover offers dental treatment cover from accidents or illnesses, complementary therapies, travel cover, death benefit, £1m Third Party Liability (dogs only) and has no upper age limits.

Excess

£95 per policy. Once your pet is 7 you also pay 20% of all claims after you have paid the excess amount and once your pet is 12 or older you pay 25% of all claims after you pay the standard excess.

Age Limits

8 weeks minimum age. No upper age limit.

Waiting Period

5 days for accidents; 14 days for illness

After comparing quotes on a comparison site, I selected lifetime pet cover and level of cover with regard to the level of risk for our pets breed, as it appeared to give the best flexibility.

Excellent value for the older dog. I made a claim last year when my dog needed an operation for a large lump under his front leg. Paid out with no problems.

Of course there were excesses and the premiums went up, but what do you expect when your pet is...

quick and easy to setup cover and paperwork arrived really quickly. Hopefully all will be as smooth if I have to make a claim?? So rating on the setup of policy only.

I was so happy when my pets treatment for Mammary cancer was successful, and even happier that the insurance covered 75% less £95 excess of the cost.
However, now the renewal is due my premium has tripled making it non affordable for me on my pension.Nice...
