Coverage

MoreTh>n Pet Insurance offers 4 policy options. An Accident Only 12 month cover offering up to a limit of £2,500 for vet fees in total for 12 months. Once the limit is reached or 12 months have passed any condition claimed for will no longer be covered and will become a pre-existing condition. Cruciate ligament injuries are not covered no matter how they are caused.

A Time Limited Basic Cover which covers accidents or illnesses for 12 months from first treatment with total vet fee pay out limit options of £1,500 or £3,000. Once the total pay out limit is reached or 12 months goes by each condition or injury will no longer be covered. Classic cover which offers 2 pay out limit options of £4,000 or £8,000 per condition (a Maximum Benefit policy) which is not time limited. Once total amount is reached for a particular condition it is no longer covered.

Premier Cover, their Lifetime cover policy, has 2 vet fee limit options: £4,000 total vet fee limit per year with each individual illness or injury vet fee limit set at £1,000; and £12,000 total vet fee cover per year with an individual injury or condition vet fee limit of £4,000. Cover renews annually if the policy is renewed without a break in cover meaning cover continues for on-going conditions. All policy types include Third party Liability for dogs and cover for accidental damage. All policies except Accident only also cover Complementary Treatments and emergency boarding. The Classic and Premier policies also offer Lost and Found cover and Overseas travel cover.

Excess

£100 for each injury or accident and you can choose to pay a voluntary co-pay of either 10% or 20% of the remaining bill value if your dog is under 9, which might reduce your monthly premium. If your pet is 9 or older at policy inception you pay a compulsory excess of 20%.

Age Limits

From 8 weeks of age. Cover for Death not applicable to pets 9 years of age or older.

Waiting Period

48 hours for accidents, 14 days for cruciate ligament problems or any illnesses.
