The festive season is well and truly underway and it's good to take a moment in this hectic month to think about people and their pets who are less fortunate than we are. Thanks to your use of our site to find the right insurance for you, you've not only protected your own pets from misfortune, but pets in need, too.

The PDSA are there for pets when their owners just can't afford vet fees, and let's face it, there are more owners struggling this year than usual. The continual strain of the cost of living is forcing more and more owners to have to give up their pets. According to the RSPCA the number of pets abandoned in 2023 is expected to hit a three year high. The PDSA provides a real lifeline for pets in need in times of hardship. 

For example, I recently read about little Roma, a dachsund treated by PDSA who was diagnosed with diabetes. She was losing weright rapidly and drinking constantly. PDSA stepped in to treat Roma as her owner had had a stroke and was unable to work.
