How are Fluffy Pet Insurance different?
Their product was designed by veterans of the insurance business, vets, dog trainers and pet nutritionists with the aim of providing lifetime pet insurance and supporting pet parents. They provide three levels of lifetime pet insurance cover, so there’s something to suit most pet owners.
When you sign up for their insurance you get free access to their app. offering free access to dog training courses and 24/7 access to vets, dog trainers and nutritionists if you need health or pet care advice.
The app is something that sets this insurer apart. Follow the advice they provide on the app and you are rewarded with points you can exchange for discounts on pet food, treats and other pet products. They also provide puppy owners with a free personalised growth plan created by experts and you have access to their own pet owner community.
Their customers have access to special offers such as money off dog food products, discounts on grooming products and other treat and care products. Interestingly they also have offers specifically for owners such as discounts on Hello Fresh and Naked Wines, so there’s something for the whole family!
Fluffy Pet Insurance want to help pet parents take good care of their pets by offering free advice from specialists.
What does their pet insurance cover?
Fluffy Pet Insurance offers a choice of three levels of Lifetime Pet cover; £5,000, £7,500 or £10,000 vet fee cover per year. Lifetime policies cover your pet for diagnostics and treatment of illnesses or accidents up to the vet fee level you choose. They also cover third party liability, death, loss or staying and offer compensation if your holiday has to be cancelled due to your pet’s illness.
There are lower pay-out limits for some treatments such as complementary treatments, accident related dental treatment (general dental treatment is not covered), CT and MRI scans, and cruciate ligament treatment.
To keep the costs down there is a compulsory excess of £99 for each and every claim and you also need to pay 10% of the remaining cost of each claim if your pet is 5 years or over.

Can you access the Fluffy app without buying Pet Insurance?
The Fluffy app has been around longer than their pet insurance and they say they already have 20,000 members. You can use it to access training advice and courses, and 24/7 access to vets and nutritionists. If you don’t buy their pet insurance there is a monthly subscription fee for the app (£8-£12 a month) and this gives you access to all their advice, offers and discounts.
