I wanted to put a 'No Recommendation' on this review. The Answer 'Yes' Is Yes avoid if you have a pre existing condition. The site told me I am not permitted to enter a negative review. One year ago Tesco transferred our Dogs insurance from RSA to Pinnacle, while RSA policies were not cheap they were acceptable. on renewal Pinnacle increased the premium by roughly 64% made a formal complaint, got no where, complained to the FOS, got no where, the FSO stated they were powerless to control the premiums, now at one year on renewal Pinnacle has increased the premium in a year by approximately 84%, I have two choices, go without cover or pay an extortionate premium, to put this in prospective, the policy provides £4000 per year cover, Pinnacle want a premium for the year of £3700, on top of that I have to pay the excess of £120, total £3820, my last years claims totalled around £1450, insurance is supposed to be a shared risk, the customer risks paying more premium than claims, the insurer risk is they take a premium and end up paying out more, but when the premium is equal to the payout liability Pinnacle have No Risk. Pinnacle unofficially make it clear, if you've have a claim history they will offer cover but place All the Risk on the Policy Holder, would I recommend Tesco Pet Insurance, No not since moving from RSA.
