Agria in general is very good. Pricing, however, is not!

I have very happily used Agria Pet insurance for some years, and would have no hesitation in recommending the company in almost all aspects, but was horrified to receive the renewal insurance for my dog, who is eight years old. To keep the cost down, I elected to pay the higher amount excess, £250, but feel the annual increase is disgraceful. In 24/25 I paid £58.50 per month. In 25/26 it went up by 37.76 per cent to £80.50, a rise of £22 per month. The renewal for 26/27 has seen a rise of 30.70 per cent to £105.21, a rise of £24.62! Given that we have been warned, on the news, that bills for all our outgoings are going to rise, it has to be hoped that they will not all go up by £25 a month!! We have claimed for treatment of a skin complaint in the past year or so, which is not expensive compared with, say, orthopaedic treatment, but apart from that the only claim we made for her was some years ago. When we experienced the first huge rise, it was before any claim, other than that from years ago.
