Been using Tesco pet insurance for many years without ever making a claim. Went up a lot each year but kept it going. However, my dog was diagnosed with diabetes in December last year (2025) so had to make my first claim. Had to pay £120 excess plus 20% of every claim. Renewal was due in March and they charged me another £120 excess but I am only covered until December next year. Only found out today from them that After next December I will no longer be covered for Diabetes for my 10 year old girl. None of this was explained in my many phone calls to them. Was promised on one phone call they would be able to help me out with renewal but this was a load of rubbish. Renewal nearly trebled by the way. After December I will have to leave them and have no chance of another insurance because of my dogs age and condition. I will never forgive this company for not making things clearer to me.
