I have used admiral for car, house and pet. Now I will never use them for anything again. Unfortunately our dog became sick in May 2025, we eventually had him put to sleep on the 1st of September at the advice of public health England. We put in a claim with Admiral to cover treatment we had paid for directly between the 12th of August and the 1st of September. Getting any money out of them had been a living hell. They said my vets weren’t giving them information, my vets, who i trust and have never had issues with, said they never heard from admiral. I informed admiral I would be cancelling my direct debit because there was no point in me paying £45 a month for a dead dog when there was no telling how long it would take to get my money. They have now paid out for the euthanasia only and deducted a further excess off it (which we already paid) because they are saying the dog died of a high temperature. He was put down due an extremely rare fungal disease which has a 70% mortality rate in humans. I have an open complaint which they have said will take 2 months to resolve and now the final kick in the teeth they have sent me a letting saying I need to set up a direct debit or my claim with be cancelled. Admiral are now blackmailing me over my outstanding claim. I did ask if the claims team would refund me if I continued paying my direct debit, they said it was not their department I would have to speak to customer services, who said speak to the claim team… can you see what I didn’t want to continue paying them. This company are scum, I have withdrawn all my insurance from them and won’t pay them another penny.
