Definitely don’t get their pet insurance. Just had my renewal through and it’s jumped from £74/month to £140/month for a 5 year old dog with no claims over the last 12months. She’s a small to medium crossbreed so isn’t in the senior age bracket, she’s not been diagnosed with any new conditions over the past 12months and none of our other details have changed. Her premium has jumped from £899 to over £1600! I rang them to ask them to give me the breakdown of how they have calculated such an increase and apparently they don’t do that, it just is what it is. So seems like it’s just a figure plucked out of thin air! Definitely won’t be continuing our policy. Have logged a complaint and will then go to the FOS to see if they can reason that it’s a fair and justified increase.
