The underwriters changed recently and I received my updated terms and quote through the post. When I read through it I realised I'd forgotten to tell them my dog was neutered as a pup, a few months after taking out the initial policy. I'd never claimed in the 4 years I had the policy and thought this would just be a box-ticking exercise. So my annual policy had increased by around £60 this time which I suppose is to be expected, but then they wanted to add a further £125 to the policy just because he was neutered - I didn't see that coming and dread to think what it would increase to had I made a claim. Since when does a male dog become a higher risk through being neutered as a pup? Anyway, I'm jumping ship today, I'd rather start again elsewhere.
