Insured with Tesco as my partner works for them so we get a good discount, however my cat was diagnosed as diabetic 4 weeks ago, started a revolutionary new treatment, had 1 dose and sadly went into. Ketoacidosis and died a terrible death . I tried to claim which has been rejected , they are trying to say it was pre existing even though I have all vets notes etc which clearly state devious test results in the past as not diabetic. They have been absolutely disgraceful. I have asked for the evidence on which they have based this ridiculous decision on but they can’t tell me! That’s because there isn’t any! I’ve been with them for over 4 years and never so much as claimed a penny and this is how they deal with it.at a truly traumatic time in my life I’m left out of pocket and having to chase them up trying to plead my case , which should be clear cut,they should be totally ashamed of themselves. Don’t waste your money insuring your pets with these robbers they’ll find anything to get out of paying up! I’m taking it to the ombudsman!
