My Cavapoo had sudden organ failure 3 days before his 14th birthday. The vets confirmed there was nothing they could do and administered a mild sedative until my son could arrive to say his goodbyes. We arranged for a Vet to come to our home and administer euthanasia and for Marley to be Cremated. A beautiful peaceful end for out gorgeous boy.
I subsequently put my claim forward to Animal friends to find they had clauses and restrictions on everything attached to end of life.20% deduction due to the age of Marley
A limit on what they will pay for Euthanasia and no contribution to the cremation costs at all. My claim was for £728 and Animal friends after deductions have paid me £142.
Please check and double check the small print from this Company as it appears they are very happy to take your monthly payment but less happy to settle a claim.
My policy was £54 a month for Marley and I hadn’t claimed once in 12 years.
The renewal had just come through at £83 due to his age which is a complete joke given the bolt ons placed on the policy once your dog reaches the age of 8.
I wouldn’t consider using this company again as I feel very cheated by the outcome of my genuine claim
