We were with Bought By Many who were rebranded as Many Pets. We have a cockapoo and a cavapoo. Our cockapoo recently had cruciate ligament surgery. During our claim for the surgery and the subsequent claims for hydro, and physiotherapy our emails were routinely ignored.
The claims, apart from one, took between 4 and 7 weeks to settle.
I sent 2 complaints which were both upheld. That was it!
Our cavapoo then developed a lump on his head which required surgery.
Many Pets took almost 7 weeks to pay up. Once again I complained by email. Once again I got no response. I wrote a letter to their head office.
Funnily enough they paid up the day after I'd sent the letter.
Days later they responded to my email complaint saying this time that they 'agreed' with my complaint. As an apology and a gesture of goodwill they said they would send an Amazon gift voucher for £30. They said I could buy something nice for my dogs. But they sent an Amazon music voucher for 3 months free music! I was disgusted they couldn't even get that right.
I sent the voucher back with a terse note.
Then, they sent an email with a £30 Amazon gift voucher link.
We suffered a great deal of stress and anxiety dealing with them.
They are dismissive and patronising, telling me they are very busy, whilst advertising for new customers.
My wife and I became very anxious dealing with them so after all the trouble we cancelled our policy and went elsewhere.
I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy
