When I acquired my dog in 2017 I used Sainsburys Pet Insurance. The premiums have now increased to almost £1000, so I decided to change the level of cover to lifetime.
They cannot use any information they already have about my dog but have to treat it as a new policy. The policy was due to start today but they are still faffing around with trivial questions and I've just been advised that the policy is not yet in place as they now need to know exactly what date I acquired him! So they already have this information but cannot transfer it to the new policy and I now have a dog who is not insured. Absolutely ridiculous. They have had over a month to sort this out.
Definitely won't be using Sainsburys again.
