Last year this company impressed me and seduced my with their reasonable policy price. Only one year later my policy went from £446.02 to £678.71 an increase of £232.69.
I am extremely disappointed and feel let down by this company which I have previously recommended to 100's of uninsured clients in my clinics. That changes today.
They cannot possibly think that a £232.69 yearly increase is acceptable or fair, especially as I have only been insured for one year and owned my dog for only one year and never made a claim. My dog is only 6yrs old and is fit and healthy.
As a seasoned veterinary professional with 21yrs nursing experience I still find it extremely difficult to encourage uninsured clients to change their mind because of this exact reason.
They have not only let down an influential veterinary professional, but also my pet and they are a prime example of how the pet industry unfairly hike up yearly premiums to an unaffordable amount, often trapping clients whose pets have unaffordable on going conditions.
They should feel ashamed of their industry and themselves for representing these policies.
