My dog was insured only by animal friends. He recently had a procedure for £950. Animal Friends maintained it was an on going condition (he had his eye removed, one eye had blown). He'd had dry eyes but never a blown eye? Sadly he subsequently died. Again because he was a senior (9 is senior in a breed known to live until18yrs), insurance would only pay out his original cost if he'd had an accident. This was after they said his death was from on going condition (He had a heart attack, no coronary issues). This insurance company took my premiums happily for ten years. I didnt ever claim. All the fake sympathy doesn't change the fact profit is more important than pets. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
