I have got 3 shih tzus insured with bought by many. They are aged 4,6 and 9. They are on the the top £15,000 life cover policy. I had to claim last year when one of my girls had to have specialist eye surgery at a cost of £6,200 between my vet ant the specialist eye hospital. The claim was settled within a fortnight and all dealt with by the two vet practices and all I did was pay my £69 excess. Last week my 9 year old ate some raisins and was rushed in to vets at 1.15am to have an injection to induce vomiting at a cost of £284 I put the the claim in 2 days ago and it was settled yesterday. It took one phone call. Yes my premium went up on renewal this year from £110 to £118 a month for three dogs. I can’t fought the company and have recommended them to many people. I must say though that you definitely need the highest cover.
