Yet again submitted a claim only to find part of claim not mentioned in remittance and therefore underpaid. To reduce repeat medication charges I get private prescription from vet and order drugs myself online. Vet charges £12.50 for prescription but this saves over £50 every two months when repeat medication claim made to Animal friends it depends who manages claim if prescription charges are paid without having to resubmit as a separate claim. Animal friends also highlight that Pawtal portal is great and you should check with your vet and if they are signed up it will speed up process. Not the case. After paying the vet invoice I had to chase them up on several occasions to get claim submitted on Pawtal when I visited vet recently they gave me an invoice for their admin charges inputting the claim. I passed this to Animal friends and they advised that they cannot reimbursement as the admin charges are excluded from insurance. Great, we are advised to use Pawtal and then pay for the privilege. Truly shocking.
