My German shepherd developed a twisted stomach after drinking his water to fast, this occurred on a bank holiday, subsequently he was operated on but died while in recovery. As he was a rescue dog he had previously been homed in another part of the country, fortunately I had received all his history, I had also had him treated locally by my vet. His history was requested by the insurer, he was 8 years old and wanted evidence of every inoculation by every vet, they kept saying that without this they were unable to settle the claim which stood at £6000. I eventually traced it all and they settled, they even deducted £1.00 charity donation. I would only recommend this company if you have all vet documentation.
