Don’t trust Sainsbury’s Bank Pet Insurance

I’ve had a pet insurance policy with Sainsbury’s for years - covering several dogs over their life time. I recently made a claim for surgery following an injury. My pet has never been seen for that injury or even related injury or concern before, yet Sainsbury’s Pet Insurance declined my claim based on ‘history’. At no point have they communicated with me. I only found out the claim was developed from my vet 4 months after the claim was submitted. There are no restrictions to my policy. I have rang them and been cut off several times then told that there are no notes on my policy and no recorded reason for the decline. I was told someone would ring me back - they haven’t. This service is just terrible and has left me stressed and spending valuable time chasing and looking for answers. It would seem that Sainsbury’s are dodging me. The lack of communication is unacceptable when I have been paying for many years for a service and peace of mind.
