Insurance has nearly doubled this year. Fortunately l noticed the renewal email or they would have automatically taken another years premium from my card which l had no idea that they had retained, as l never gave my permission for them to retain my card details & take future payments from it. Hence why l paid by card as opposed to setting up a direct debit.

So l thought l would look into why this policy had increased so much.

I was very surprised by what l found in the SMALL PRINT.
Did you know that if your pet has not been seen by a vet for a check up in the last 12 months they can refuse to pay out on a claim?
Which means my 2yr, 3 month old very healthy dog who last seen a vet for his injections at 5 months old has not been covered for the ENTIRE DURATION of the last year.

And unless you have their most expensive policy, the dog is not covered for travelling.
Therefore my dog would not be covered if l drove him to the corner shop.

The icing on the cake comes when you email them.
My emails have to date simply been ignored. They are happy to talk to you when you pay them money. But anything else..........

Perhaps after l have covered the internet in reviews they may notice me.
I am retired so have all the time in the world to sit here all day writing reviews.

Message is simple. Before you commit to any policy by any company.... READ THE SMALL PRINT. Which l failed to do last year. I trusted that it must be ok as they are a large company. Right?
