After paying direct debit Tesco pet insurance premiums since February 2018, I recently attempted to make my first claim. Unfortunately, my claim was flatly refused for reasons which still annoy me. In my case, the wording of my policy wasn't as clear as it should have been (otherwise I would not have made the claim). Maybe I should have taken a week off work to read the small print. On reflection, Insurance companies have whole departments solely devoted to derailing your claim. My advice to anyone considering pet insurance generally, but Tesco pet insurance in particular, is - don't do it. Save your money and your time and just don't do it.
