Where do I start!! I had my pet insurance with Tesco for 3 years prior to unfortunately having to have my poor baby boy put to sleep.
Yes he had a disc problem before I i sired with Tesco but on the morning of him being out to sleep he was pounced on and chased but a huge cat which damaged his back more and his back legs stopped working. We watched him all day suffering and couldn’t watch any longer. This was a Sunday so had to call out emergency vet out. It was decided that unfortunately we would have to put my baby to sleep. This has to have been the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make.
The next day I rung the insurance company and had the forms sent out. These took a week. I gave them to my vet and waited.
A month later a received an email to say they weren’t paying anything out as pepper had the disc problem before I insured with them. Also because he was under 8 they wouldn’t pay out and no cremation fees would be paid all because they say he had the bad back before 2017.
I would like to have known what I paid my insurance for.
Not even the cremation fee back. He was going to be put to sleep sometime so did I pay for that insurance for nothing
I’m really not happy. We’ve already paid the £600 vet fee,it’s not about the money it’s the principle of paying £35 a month for nothing
