I’ve been insured with through More Than for 3 years. Luckily, I have never had to make a claim on the policy, however my annual cost has risen dramatically over the last two years which led me to look around for better quotes. I found better cover elsewhere for nearly £15 cheaper. This next bit though, is actually where my real gripe comes from. I cancelled the policy and was told I would be refunded within 6 working days (not a huge amount of money but enough that it would be better off in my pocket than theirs!). 9 working days later and still no refund... so I phone them back up and they advise that a refund had begun to be processed but someone had “forgotten to action it”! What a load of crap! Obviously, fairly annoyed, I argued it saying the policy had been cancelled for nearly two weeks and it wasn’t good enough and the reply was “you’ll get it in 7 working days” so the original 6 working days has now risen to 7 working days in just under two weeks and will bring my total wait time to over 3 weeks. Totally unacceptable making people wait such a long time for a refund anyway, let alone after a mistake THEY have made and having to wait near on a month whilst it sits in their account earning interest. Overpriced, inefficient and unreliable!!
