Happily and luckily, I have only had to make one major claim in respect of Alfie, the most adorable Chocolate Lab now 5 years old - but he appeared to have swallowed something, and it involved overnight investigations (including a CT Scan) at an Edinburgh Veterinary centre, and the costs ran into "4-figures". The claim was settled immediately without query. That's what I call peace of mind.
