The Claims service has been good and there have been no hassles in that respect with prompt and efficient claims handling. If At present Agria are no different to any pet insurer insofar as passing on cost. Overall insurer claims costs go up.....that is passed back to their insured either by increased premium &/or increased flat excess &/or increased co-insurance &/or specific injury/disease exclusions. As a former underwriter I fully understand those tools to address company aggregated claims payments made. However, I have endeavoured to seek a conversation with an Agria chief underwriting officer or similar to explain why pet insurers are light years behind motor and home insurers in finding more innovative solutions to contain their costs and help to keep insurance costs to the public at a lower level. Nobody ever tries to make contact with me so I am assuming that the Consumers Association is the only route to put it into the spotlight.
