Ongoing treatment

My Border Terrier Basil, aged 8, had been prescribed various medications for his Atopic Dermatitis for a number of years including a specially repared vaccine but without success. He was still very itchy, red and sore and totally miserable. Thankfully he was then prescribed Apoquel and it has been a breeze ever since!
His Veterinary Insurance has been with The Kennel Club since his arrival in our home so thankfully he was covered for his condition which is ongoing. His prescriptions are reviewed every three months and I submit a claim once a year.
My other Border, Pepper, aged 9, is also covered with The Kennel Club and being a rather feisty little Border she fractured her leg jumping off the patio aged approx. 10 weeks. This was an extemely worrying time but the Insurance covered her treatment - at least that was one thing we didnt need to be concerned about.
My dealings with The Kennel Club have always been straight forward and I have been able to recover the costs of any treatments quickly and easily. I realise that Veterinary Cover costs are increasing but I was disappointed when the extra percentage charge was added to the Policies as well as the standard excess a few years ago. However my "little darlings" insurance is an important part of keeping them healthy and insures that I am prepared for any future scenario. I would not hesitate to recommend The Kennel Club Insurance.
