My dog was hit by a vehicle and ended up losing his leg. As this was my first claim they wanted all of his history. He came from the dog trust so only had vaccination info. They stalled constantly as they could not get through to dogs trust for info. I was in new Zealand at the time and they kept ringing hassling me to get in touch with dogs trust. He lost a leg - how would passed history make a difference to that. My vet assured them he had had 4 legs before he removed the damaged one but it wasn't enough for them . They did finally pay out but only after a lot of stress and hassle.
