My current insurer loaded my policy to 35% of the cost as well as the first £100. When I complained they said they would reduce it back to 20% but the premium would be increased. It is a lifetime policy, but she is 10 and not on any medication and I have not claimed very much. Lifetime pet cover gave me the 20% extra but with a much less premium.
