We have used this company for about 20 years for numerous cats. In November we lost our 8 year old cat to acute kidney failure.
Imagine my shock & horror to receive the claim response saying I have to pay the outstanding 10 months insurance as on the death of my cat the policy is considered as being cancelled by me! I pay monthly & had never read the very small print explaining this. No compassion for pet owners to include this clause!

The same thing happened to me with Legal & General! My dog died 1 month after starting the policy so had to pay for the next 11 months.
I'm afraid with any insurance for example car insurance if the car is a write off you have made a claim so you do not get any refund, the same with an animal, if as in your case sadly your cat died you still have to carry on paying until that year ends, it's a contract for the year. I pay yearly and if the same thing happened iould get no refund. That is how insurances work and make their money.
