Any excuse not to pay

1

This company takes your money, but if you haven’t scoured - and I mean with a microscope - the small print, don’t think for a moment that you can make a reasonable claim. I have paid thousands into a lifetime policy, but when my dog needed an operation, the company did everything they could to find an exclusion clause to prevent them paying me, trying first one and then when that was unsuccessful, using a second to renege on their responsibility. What is the point of pet insurance, if it turns out pretty much every condition isn’t covered? I don’t doubt that they have adhered to the letter of their own law, but this doesn’t mean it’s right. This leaves a bad taste in the mouth. I have paid ever increasing premiums in good faith and they have bent over backwards to find a reason not to pay. I wish I had never heard of Pet-insurance.
