My wife takes care of the pet insurance for our animals, 2 healthy cats and a dog, so when our Direct Line policy renewal came in at £51.51 per month I questioned the price and went online. I obtained a quote using the exact same details on the renewal, but in my name on the Direct Line website. The same 'Essential Price' was £27.38 per month. That's almost half the one my wife had been quoted. Please tell me Direct Line you are not ripping off existing customers, as my experience tells me you are.

My wife then phoned up and was told by the renewal line the prices were correct and as a new customer I got 'all of he available discounts' whereas she got none.
