I took out insurance for two dogs in Aug 2012. Unfortunately my dog had to have an aggressive mamory tumour removed in Dec 2013. I made a claim and after weeks of chasing them, I received a letter saying the had looked through my dogs medical history and because I had bred from her the policy was void and they wouldn't pay out. The claim had nothing to do with her having had puppies. It was a totally unrelated claim. I explained to them that she had had a couple of litters in the past which I kept a puppy for myself as a pet. I am not a commercial breeder.Would a private health insurance deny a claim for a women with a breast tumor just because she had given birth in the past. Ridiculous company.
