But when your dog is older and you need the support of the insurance, I'm afraid the premiums will have increased to a level where most people really can't afford it, ie., when my dog reached 13yrs of age recently, the monthly premium went up from £82, to £161. My dog has had a continuation claim going for a couple of years with a minimal claim, which resulted in a premium hike as a result 2 years ago, but I really can't see a justification for this monstrous increase, and will now have to take my chances without insurance.
Maybe all pet insurance companies are the same, I'm not sure, however, I will never touch an AA product again, that's for sure.
