We have had Buddies ‘Gold’ plan for our Cocker Spaniel, for 11years, two months and twenty seven days. Not one claim in all that time. After inoperable tumour diagnosis, we were left with no alternative except euthanasia. We now discover not covered on policy as our dog over nine years old. The policy has gone from £180.36 per annum in 2007, to £1,098.31 for 2017/2018. We have already paid excess and our now faced with another £331.31 to pay. This has caused even more distress at an extremely difficult time.
The exclusion for older dogs is hidden in small print and certainly not clearly visible. Please be aware if you are thinking of using Buddies!
