if you're considering using animal friends don't, my dog had a serious gastric illness resulting in a trip to emergency vets and huge bill which they refused to pay out on ,the reason i was given was that because my dog had previously had a mild case of diarrhea (almost a year ago)they were classing it as a pre-existing condition as diarrhea could only be the result of a abnormality in any dog and therefore wouldn't pay out on any illness in which he suffered from any kind of vomiting or diarrhoea or anything which in anyway involved his digestive system basically they were ruling out paying out on almost any illness when i asked what illnesses were covered by my policy they couldnt think of any.needless to say i will be cancelling my insurance with them .
