I've paid into Animal Friends for 9 years for my Cocker Spaniel. The first claim I made was refused based on the wording in the small print. Also once the animals reach 8 you have the "privilege" of paying 30% towards the cost - so an annual policy per condition of £2000 say, means they will only pay out £1300 - the rest you pay, after the excess - this wasn't spelled out when I took out insurance when he was a puppy. Avoid at all costs - my vet also said they are awful!
