I only rated 1 as I couldn't give 0. Our 4 year old Lab sadly died after a short illness in November last year. We were insured up to £7000, the specialist vet bills came to £6400. Animal Friends have reimbursed us for £2000. They have said that without a post mortem (they are aware she was cremated the same week) they are not prepared to pay any more. This is even with a covering letter from the specialist vet informing them that they are in the with their decision. We have sought independent advice as surely this cannot be legal. To make things even worse, they then sent us a letter requesting that we renew the policy??!! Awful. Just awful.
