Excessive charging when pet gets older

1

I have a cat and a dog.

Recently we have had to claim for the dog - she is now 8 years told. The premium this year has now more than doubled!

I also have a cat who is now 15 years of age. We have never ever claimed for her. Again, this year we have had to claim. The amount of the claim was £569 for which we received only £230 (approx) back. They took the excess plus something called a Co-payment charge which they charge for older pets - it equals 33% of the total claim. Extortion.
