Two years ago the premium for my dog was £22 per month, which doubled to £44 per month last year, and I have just had my renewal for £78 per month. My dog is 13 years old, but I have claimed for very little, and have been penalised for it. If I had not bothered with any insurance I could have paid for what I've claimed for myself, and still been in pocket. After receiving my most recent renewal, I have cancelled my policy and gone for an alternative policy which will cost me £23 per month. Avoid Tesco like the plague unless money is no object!
