terrible customer service

I was told by two representatives of Petplan that if my kittens surgery was unrelated to a previous condition then it would be covered. My vet also wrote to them to say that it was unrelated and that it should be covered. They have refused twice to pay the claim and i'm now having to write to their complaints department. Terrible customer service. i was recommended petplan by my vet and therefore happy to pay a bit extra per month for them but it seems they will do anything to get out of paying a claim.
