When we insured our 10 year old dog with Animal Friends we read in their T&Cs about a 35% co-payment that would be applied to claims for vet's fees because of the dog's age. What we did not realise was the effect this would have as everything seems to be regarded as fees. The £4000 cover we opted for is in effect worth only £2635, so be warned. This is not made clear in Animal Friends advertising!

Where on your policy is the 35% co payment? Because we have nothing of the sort on the policy or in the Pet schedule which is where they first said it was, now they're saying they told us in an email prior to the commencement of the policy? It's nowhere!!
