I insured my horse with animal friends back in January and for the first time in 9 years with him I had to make a claim for him in June. The vet was with me to give him his annual health check when he decided to have a respiratory attack so I had no time to call them to let them know what was going on as it was a case of give him the treatment now and start the investigations. Rang Animal Friends who got the claim form sent out to me, took a while for my vets to get the form off as they were putting everything on in one go and it was a month of investigations etc... Sent it on 15/7, I got a letter dated 21/7 saying they'd paid my vet directly by BACS transfer. Could not of asked for better service. Less than a week from SENDING the form to paying over £1100 directly to my vet. Could not recommend them enough. Have been made aware of exclusions that will take effect from my next policy year, and they're very reasonable. Excellent service and hope to stick with them!
