My GSD had a gastric torsion and spent 6 hours in surgery - this led to a neurological problem where she lost the use of her left hind. Animal friends won't let me claim for any treatment because she had a back problem 3 years ago which was fully healed. They now won't cover for anything relating to the back, spine, pelvis or any lameness. They also won't cover for anything to do with the digestive system OR cysts and warts - even though it was a small cyst in 2007 which I only mentioned to the vet in passing at a routine appt and disappeared of its own accord! Animal Friends have gone through ALL her veterinary history with a fine-tooth comb and seemingly everything is now a get out clause... AND they took ages to pay out to the vets.
