We returned to the UK after living in Australia for 23 years with our 2 Cavalier King Charles spaniels. Rosie was a rescue from a breeder and was 3 years old by the time we were fortunate enough to adopt her. On returning, we decided to take out health insurance. Unfortunately, after only about 6 months, she sustained damage to her eye from chemicals at a dog groomer (that's another story !). The cost was several hundreds of pounds. The groomer was unable to contribute. To be honest, I wasn't sure how responsive Vetsure would be. Obviously I had to give full details and the contact details of our vet for her history, as they are in Australia, I presumed that this will go on for months and then I'd be given "the run around" before or even if any reimbursement would be made. I was therefore astonished to be informed by our old vets, that they had been contacted, provided relevant information and I was paid all within one month of my claim. Yes, at the annual renewal, Rosies policy has gone up but by an acceptable amount. I have no hesitation in recommending this company.
