I have used Tesco pet insurance for my Lurcher Monty for the last five years until we very sadly had to let him go due to an aggressive cancer.
Tesco have been absolutely brilliant for the whole of the five years. Monty, being a lurcher, was always getting into trouble and ending up at the vets. He recently developed cancer in his kidney which was removed but it had already spread to his lungs.
I have had to make many claims over the years and Tesco have always paid up. Their customer service is impeccable; they are compassionate and extremely helpful.
I would stress, reading some of these negative comments, that you need to ensure you take out the right insurance for your pet as Tesco do many options. If you don’t have the right cover or have not read your policy through to see what is covered then Tesco would not, as seen from the negative comments, be obliged to pay for a claim.
I would never have been able to pay for Monty’s treatment for his cancer had I not made sure his insurance covered all eventualities.
Tesco have been absolutely brilliant for the five years and I thank them for helping Monty to enjoy quality of life until we had to let him go.
