Pet Protect (Trent services) has stopped covering our pet who had supposedly lifetime cover

1

Our lab is 11 this year. He has had a lifetime policy most of his life so far with Pet Protect, we paid for it continuously with no problems, but this summer we received a letter saying our cover would cease this December stating the company are no longer covering pets.
Our older dog cannot now get affordable premiums from any company, and none seem to cover existing conditions, which our dog has. We are now facing large vet bills with no insurance.
