I have the top tier pet insurance, pet needed teeth extraction after a yearly check up found problems. Went through with the surgery, covered the bill myself. Put a claim form in after reading the general statement around what was included in the policy cover. It states clearly that dental cover is included up to £1000. After putting the claim in I get a letter of rejection sighting 3 articles of small print that would effectively make any dental cover absolutely impossible to get a pay out on. This is effectively a lie and a scam and I won't be renewing with them next year.
