Since we bought Tizzie she was covered by Petplan. We had no complaints about Petplan other than the fees went up quite a lot each year even without claims. After a bit of shopping around Direct Line seemed to be the most cost effective of the main brand insurance companies (I got discount because I have car insurance with them). We've had to make one small claim and that was paid promptly. Fees in second year only went up a few pounds. Tizzie is now 10 years old so fees are not cheap but we are happier that she is covered by Direct Line rather than a cheaper policy.
